SFA supplementary data collection and future apprenticeship impact survey

Feconnect email alerts

Have you registered to receive email alerts?  If not you can receive these in a number of ways:

  • You can subscribe to a forum – receive emails every time a new topic is posted or
  • You can subscribe to a daily or weekly digest – receive an update at a time of your choosing

If you have already selected one of the options above are you receiving the email alerts? We’re receiving a large number of bounce back emails when the daily and weekly digests are sent out from feconnect.  If you’re not getting the alerts you have selected, can you please check with your IT department to see if the emails are being blocked? Once you’ve done this do let us know if you are still not receiving notifications feconnect@sfa.bis.gov.uk

SFA: supplementary data collection

Additional guidance on supplementary data collection to claim funding based on information not collected through the Individualised Learner Record (ILR). The document also describes how to adjust funding for information that cannot be processed through our funding calculations.

ILR specification, validation rules and appendices

We’ve published version 10 of the ILR specification 2015 to 2016 validation rules. Please ensure you use the latest version for your next data submission.

We’ve also published Appendix A to the specification for 2016 to 2017. We’ve changed the layout this year and would welcome your comments as to whether you find this easier to use. Please reply to this blog post; see below.

Future Apprenticeship Impact Survey

If you have accessed support through the Future Apprenticeship Staff Support Programme in workshops, meetings or webinars, the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) would like to hear how the programme has supported you.

Additionally, they would like to know the benefit of the programme for you and your staff, and the resulting impact on learners and employers.

Please complete a short survey by Monday, 18 April to help shape the next phase of the programme. The survey should take no more than five minutes to complete.

The AELP is currently in discussion with the Education and Training Foundation, so your feedback is vital in helping to shape any future support.

Please pass this survey on to all relevant members of staff in your organisation, supply chains and/or network.

Further education and skills: statistical first release

The Statistical First Release published on 5 April includes Qualification Achievement Rates for 2014 to 2015.
