Problem with your FE data? Members of the Feconnect community will probably be able to help. Once you register as a member, you can start a new topic (below), explain your issue and then just wait for the replies. Before you post a new topic you may find it helpful to cast your eye over our Provider Support Manual and other ILR guidance documents, which have lots of useful information about completing and submitting your ILR. Still in need of help? Please call the Service Desk on 0370 2670001 or email: servicedesk@sfa.bis.gov.uk

    • Own Software Writers
This forum has been created for own software writers as a reference area as well as a point for sharing hints and tips on successfully managing the single ILR in XML project. You are welcome to post queries on aspects of the project as well as share your progress for others to see and comment on. You may wish to note that the information authority facilitates an Own Software Writers’ Change Management Group to assist own software writers with the single ILR in XML project.

    • Open Data
This forum has been created to share ideas and thoughts on Open Data. In May 2013, the Shakespeare Review announced that the next stage of the "…digital revolution had public sector information at the very foundation," and stressed that publicly-funded data belongs to the public. The government is now on a journey to realise many of the recommendations in the review and this includes how FE and Skills data can contribute to the overall goal to give citizens back their own data in a way that will be most valuable and useful to them. You can find out more about plans for Open Data at: http://data.gov.uk/ We would like to know what you think. Please us this forum to share your views and give us your suggestions on what data is available, what you would like to see and your ideas for the use of Open Data in the FE and Skills sector. NEWS: Read about the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) first Open Data Summit, held on 10 December.
