    Hi all,

Am i right in thinking that, if an employer is a Levy payer with an apprentice who falls into the 16-18 category and has insufficient funds in their AS account, they do still pay a co-investment contribution where necessary? There is no exemption based on this age bracket?

    Many thanks

That’s correct, Michelle, it’s only the <50 employees who don’t pay the contribution for this age band.

    Regards,

    Sue

(Apparently there are a small number of employers who pay the levy *and* have fewer than 50 employees, but I haven’t found one yet!)

I suspect they’re in finance/law, although was rather surprised that people in those fields would just be employees with salaries rather than, eg, directors with dividends…
