If a 24+ Learner is receiving ALS,

how do I record this in the ILR? They aren’t funded but need support.

The Funding guidance states that the 24+ L3 learners are funded under the bursary for Learning Support.

Check the Provider Support Manual for details of how to record the bursary. It is recorded with the Learner Delivery Monitoring fields so you’ll need to check the list for the correct values to enter.

The claiming and earnings methodology is different for grant-funded providers and contract-funded providers.
This provides for Learning support type activity for ’in learning’ support, such as support for teaching assistants or necessary adjustments under the Equality Act.
    Contract-funded providers
You must claim the Loans Bursary using one of the three fixed rates ALB 1, 2 or 3.
    Grant-funded providers
If necessary you can use your Discretionary Learner Support budget to provide learner support to learners funded through a Loan. However, you must not use your Loans Bursary Fund for learners funded through the Adult Skills Budget.

If a learner is 24+ and we are claiming Loans Bursary Funding for their main aim but they are also doing a SFA Funded aim, can we claim ALS and indeed SFA funding for that aim or not?
