    Hi Again,

Please can someone advise what they define the ‘Actual End Date of Learning’ is?

We use a system called PICS where we record a learning end date and an achievement end date – which would be the ‘Actual End Date of Learning’ ??

    Last evidenced contact date.

    either a review, workshop etc.

if you cant evidence any contact – best to return the funding.

    Hi Kate.

PICS contains two sets of dates on the ILR pages, the ‘official’ ones and the ‘PICS’ ones. The latter are used in our various forecasting tools to allow for situations such as when to pay an achievement payment if a learner has already exceeded their funding planned end date.

In the Component Aims section of PICS the official ‘Actual End Date of Learning’ is the field titled ‘Learning Actual End’. Below that is the ‘PICS aim end’ field for those situations where you want your reports to differ from the ILR. We’ve also maintained a PICS Achievement date, as we know many people rely on this field for their MI even though it’s no longer on the ILR.

I hope that clears things up, but please do give us a call if you’ve still got questions.
