@natalie-esfa Will a second version of the performance management rules for training providers published? The last performance management point (from the current V1 PMRs) for non-levy apprentices starting from Jan 2018 was using the R12 return of 2017-18. We’re still not completely clear on how this has been performance-managed since that point. We’ve heard through the grapevine that the allocation is performance-managed over “blocks” (block 1 = Jan-18 to Mar-18; block 2 = Apr-18 to July-18; block 3 = Aug-18 to Mar-19; block 4 = Apr-19 to July-19… etc.) but this surely should be made explicit in a new version of the performance management rules?
The funding rules state 20% is calculated over the duration of the apprenticeship, yet the Off the Job Guidance (published Friday) states that the maximum is now 30 hours for calculating OTJ training. (see link to document in the thread above)
This requires urgent clarification. Furthermore if the ‘new’ 30 hours max rule is to be followed, is this applicable to all starts from May 2017
I can see the amended funding guidance from 1st April but there does not appear to be an updated version of the document called Apprenticeship Performance-management rules for training providers. I don’t believe the performance management information is included in the summary of changes to the funding guidance.
Please could you let us know if an amended document will be released soon or is there another web link containing amended details on items such as national profiles.
