How is everyone actioning co-investment refunds when an apprentice withdraws?
In the guidance it clearly quotes that: The employer co-investment should be reconciled to the date of withdrawal and a balancing payment may be made by us.
However our finance department are querying whether we can charge an admin fee for withdrawal.
I think the above quotes suggests we cannot, but i can’t seem to find anything to suggest the ESFA are monitoring withdrawals and refunds now. In 16/17 it was a DSAT report which seems to have disappeared and doesn’t seem to be mentioned anywhere, unless i ve missed it?
The guidance only say’s ‘should’ (advisory) as against ‘must’ (mandatory), it is up to individual Providers to consider their policy on refunds and where they do have a policy to charge an administration fee to include this in the contract with the employer.
