Quick question……if a young person who has had their 16th birthday but is still on roll at a school (ie in Year 11) wants to do the Traineeship programme, and the school are willing to release them, can we claim from EFA funding for that, or would they be classed as inelligible at that stage?

If the school has had the funding for this year then I think it is them that should be paying you and that you can’t claim it from the EFA again. That is my thoughts, perhaps someone can confirm this or not?

Hi – As the pupil is on the school roll – then the school will have to set up a sub-contracting arrangement with you. They own the learner journey, the audit trail and claim the funding. You will have to invoice them for your services (or however the contract is agreed).
