I have not seen any guidance on that scenario, but I expect it will happen
The funding rules require that:
P156 The apprentice must be employed until the end-point assessment is completed. The only exception is where the apprentice has been made redundant and we are funding the apprenticeship to completion (see paragraphs P256 to P257). Consideration should be given to the potential time needed for any re-sit and/or re-training prior to re-taking the end-point assessment so the apprentice remains employed during this time.
If it is practical or possible to complete the EPA for this scenario is another question but as long as the EPAO agrees to and can continue with the EPA to completion I see no reason why not.
