    Hi all,

We have been approached by a potential new apprentice between the age of 16-18.

She lives in Wales but has accepted a full-time job in England so my question is: can she be funded through the ESFA on the apprenticeship standards for England or would she have to be funded through the Welsh provision?

We are a dental training provider and whenever we have received Welsh learners in the past, we have had to refer them to one of our partner companies, but this is our first instance of a learner being stationed between both England and Wales!

Does anyone have any experience with this please, and could hopefully point us in the right direction?

If they’re apprentices, it doesn’t matter where they live, just where they work. They have to work at least 50% of the time in England, so I think you’re fine 🙂
