    One of our learners has completed a GCSE and the grade is recorded as ‘4M’ – does anyone know what the M might be referring to as I thought they were now just given a number between 9 and 1?

    I thought it was Merit. Some of the GCSE’s do have the numbering system but also have merit, distinction or pass – especially the English GCSE’s due to the different modules/elements that make up the qual



    Apparently, the letter is the grade (Pass/Merit/Distinction) for the speaking & listening element alone.
