We had an “unknown error” when submitting to the Hub. The Data Service say our ILR is too big and has to be zipped! Anyone else had this?

I have always sent zipped files to the OLDC and now also the Hub. So far, it seems to have worked.

Jo, you’ll find that PICS automatically produces the ILR in zipped format as well as unzipped, so (if you’re submitting straight from PICS) you should find a zipped version in the same folder.

Yes Luke, but we then have to merge our ILR with the one published by the rest of the college and we’ve been using the FIS to do this!

(then you can just zip the whole thing though?)

(it only takes two minutes? obviously a pain, but not difficult?)

It would be nice if there was a notice on the Hub saying “if your file is bigger than xMb, please zip” my 40Mb one went up OK?

Yes Steveh – I have asked for some meaningful messages and for the Notifications section to have dates. There never appears to be anything in the “Known Issues” either! Our ILR is 75Mb.
