We have entered the PLH for the academic year for our learners on the ILR, but the learners have all come up on PDSAT report 21A-216 saying that the hours are below the minimum for the course.
I agree that they are not the full 20% for the full length of the apprenticeship, but the ILR guidance states that you have to put the hours in for the academic year.
I don’t know if this is just an issue with our MIS or not?
What do other people do with the PLH on your ILR’s? Any advice or guidance on what you do would be appreciated.
For apprenticeships this field collects the Planned off-the-job training hours (as defined in the funding rules) that will be delivered to the individual apprentice over the full apprenticeship (excluding the end-point assessment period) by the training provider, sub-contracted training providers and the employer.
Thanks for your response. We had previously been putting in the hours over the full apprenticeship, but our MIS provider told us we had to put them on the ILR over the academic year, and it does say in the ILR guidance to put it over the academic year.
Would you advice that we put in the full hours for the apprenticeship regardless that the learners dates will go over1 or 2 academic years?
Your MIS provider has been confused by the wording in the ILR specifications, last year the notes include “Planned off-the-job training hours for the individual apprentice over the full apprenticeship (excluding the end point assessment period) by the training provider, sub-contracted training providers and the employer” this is very clear that is the same as the hours recorded on the Apprenticeship Agreement and commitment statement for the full duration of the practical period.
