The message from the underlying logs is:
Invalid object name ‘FIS_DATA_LARS_109_210817_151925.Version_005.LARS_FrameworkCmnComp’
I’ve checked in the database and LARS_FrameworkCmnComp isn’t there for V5, but was for V4 and before. Import doesn’t seem to work if you try to roll the LARS back either.
Do we need to fix the LARS DB somehow?August 23, 2017 at 2:42 pm #190666
mine is just whirring (technical term!!)August 23, 2017 at 2:44 pm #190671

I take it that the ne version just released is not same? don’t really want to waste more time reinstalling the whole software again 🙂August 23, 2017 at 2:47 pm #190681
Your on James Francis – I’m Dorset – where is in the middle? We can drown our sorrow in alcohol and chips!!!August 23, 2017 at 2:50 pm #190685
I’m in Loughborough!August 23, 2017 at 2:52 pm #190689
I think they’ve omitted a SQL view from the update: Version_005.LARS_FrameworkCmnComp. I’ve recreated it manually using the same SQL as Version 4 and the ILR files seem to validate OK now.
Should we expect a new LARS from ESFA?
And Sam as I’m in Norwich I would suggest London, but I can’t afford the chips and they don’t do gravy there!August 23, 2017 at 3:01 pm #190699
No gravy in London?
James: If it’s not fixed tomorrow can you send me the SQL? 🙂August 23, 2017 at 3:03 pm #190708
HUN have just notified that FIS 17/18 is now available.
I am going to try and update and run the ILR through now.
MelissaAugust 23, 2017 at 3:06 pm #190717

HUB not HUN*August 23, 2017 at 3:07 pm #190721
Thanks James, you’re right that there is an issue with LARS.
We’re working on this at the minute and hope to have this fixed by 3.45pm today.
Sorry for the further inconvenience this has caused.
LynneAugust 23, 2017 at 3:08 pm #190724
Perhaps just copious amounts of alcohol then! and crisps!!!
As mine does not work either I am leaving the building and eating chocolate and buying a tent to wear into work tomorrow!
LYNNE – HELP – it does not work
Code:0008(TsqlTask)August 23, 2017 at 3:10 pm #190728
You would think they would have tested it before release, beggar’s beliefAugust 23, 2017 at 3:33 pm #190739
We’ve implemented the fix, you’ll need to check for updates in FIS and download the latest LARS file.
LynneAugust 23, 2017 at 3:35 pm #190741
Thanks Lynne, after a couple of quick tests that appears to have fixed it.
JamesAugust 23, 2017 at 3:49 pm #190743
Mine is NOT working no new LARS available – only Version 5.0.0 – 21 AugAugust 23, 2017 at 3:58 pm #190747
Hello just been advised ESFA have released the LARS with the same version number and date (V5 – 21 August) however if you look a the long version number it is different (10:52:28:807)August 23, 2017 at 4:04 pm #190753
It now works except for not populating the export mdb with FM36 funding data and the Apps Indicative Earnings report includes some onerous records for standards and learners not included in the ILR file.August 23, 2017 at 4:06 pm #190756
mmmm not convinced myself we are getting a lot of errors on our rule violation report:
These learners were due to finish in July 2017 and due to the nature of life and the universe have not yet been taken off PICS not sure as they should be showing as errors over planned hours that they should not have in the new academic year?
Going to ask Pellcomp and Service Desk as confused.comAugust 23, 2017 at 4:18 pm #190762
Guess we’ll wait till 9.30 tomorrow morning for an update then……..August 23, 2017 at 4:26 pm #190769
Can someone please advise on the warning I am getting from the FIS 17/18 rule violation report.

Melissa – check that the date you have the qualification on the ILR components aims page of PICS matches the dates you have put in the ACT box lower down on the same screen
Also look at ILR Prog Aim and check that your ACT date there matches the start date of the apprenticeship
Other than that I am stuckAugust 23, 2017 at 4:40 pm #190778
