Earlier this year we relaxed our rules on data submission to reduce the pressure on your teams during a difficult time. However, as a data submission is necessary to generate your payments, we do require you to make a data submission from now on, for period 13 and 14 for 2019/2020 academic year and to all mandatory returns for 2020/2021.
To help you address validation errors, we recently issued guidance on how to fix the most common ones, and we’ve now added to this list. You can find the consolidated list here: guidance on how to fix data validation errors, please use this guidance to get your R13 data into the best shape possible, and avoid problems when you come to R14 submission.
Please visit https://guidance.submitlearnerdatabeta.fasst.org.uk/ilr/get-your-data-right-for-2019-to-2020 to read the guidance in full.

A message from the ESFA data collections team:
R14 is open for your final return for the 2019/2020 academic year. Funding you receive will be dependent on the data you submit. If your data submission generates errors, the records to which they relate will be rejected. It’s important to correct these errors and resubmit the data to ensure you get the right funding for you.
To help, we have produced a list of quick fixes for the most common data errors experienced over the last 3 months which you can find below:
