We have an employer who went out of business before their second Additional Payment could be paid to them. Is there a way of returning an employer Additional Payment to the ESFA?

They went out of business after earning the payment (90 or 365 days), but before you gave it to them? It’s possible that those could be three months apart.

I think you’d just have to contact the ESFA about it, as I don’t believe there’s any existing mechanism to do that.

Yes they went out of business after earning the payment but before we could pay it to them. Will contact the ESFA. Thanks.

    Hi,
You could return it on the Earnings adjustment statement, you enter as a negative adjustment against the funding line (you only need ESFA permission to do this for a positive amount).
The adjustment would then come through on the funding summary report at period end.
