We have a learner that has prior qualifications of BTEC Business certificate Level 3 and a Btec Business Diploma Level 2. This learner wanted to complete a Level 2 Business Administration level 2 Apprenticeship but we have advised a Business Administration level 3. Would we be right in thinking this would be the right course of action

    Thank you in advance

Although it is normal to expect learners to study at or above their level of prior attainment, for Apprenticeships the level (Intermediate or advanced) should be determined by their actual occupation and job role. The main reasons for this can be either the supervisory or responsibility content required for an advanced apprenticeship which if not included in their current role would not enable them to demonstrate competence.
