    Morning Everyone,

We have a 16-18 learner who has met the condition of funding by achieving level 2 functional skills before they started here but they have expressed that they want to do GCSE in one of the subjects. Are we required to deduct the hours spent in this subject from their study programme?

    Thanks

The L2 Functional Skill only meets the CoF if their highest GCSE score was a 2 or below.

If they have never yet achieved a an A*-C/9-4 grade and English or maths GCSE, they you can definitely claim funding/planned hours for them to repeat their GCSE, regardless of what Functional Skills they have.
