    Hello

I seem to be having trouble getting my 19-24 traineeships to generate in my funding report (this is the first time we have done these).

    I have a ZPROG code – Aim Type 1
Work Preparation – Aim Type 3
Work Experience – Aim Type 3

All have a funding code of 35 and a programme type of 24. I have looked at the ILR spec and provider manual but cannot see where I am going wrong.

    Any advice on this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Ben

    Hi Ben,
Are you recording the work experience learning aim as ZWRKX001, 19–24 traineeships are funded from this at the single rate of £970.
Plus funding for English and Maths and a flexible element if included.

    Hi Martin

Yes, I am using the following codes:

ZPROG001 – Programme aim (aim type 1, Programme type 24)
ZWRKX001 – Work Experience (aim type 3, programme type 24)
Z0003507 – Work Preparation (aim type 3, programme type 24)

Still, nothing is generating in my occupancy list.

    Thanks

Hi Ben – Have you entered the planned hours on your ILR?

    Hi Ben,

you don’t seem to have a core aim type 5, this is where the funding is pulled from. Work experience is usually aim type 5 and this is usually the biggest amount of hours.

    hope this helps.

It would be a core aim for 16-18 but these are 19-24.

Do you have a work placement ERN added against the Work Placement aim?

    Hi Anneliese

I haven’t added that yet but the guidance says this can be added up to 4 weeks after the start date and the start date was only last week.

    Thanks

I’ve had a little play with this scenario and I can’t get a Traineeship to validate at all without the work placement – you might find that it will generate the funding once that mandatory element is added even though the rules allow for a four week window.

    Good luck! :0)
