Thanks Ruth, nothing is ever simplified! TGIF
Back in the day the Framework specification was attached to the LAD so easy to access and review, and from what I ncan see, it isn’t on the hub anymore. What I am trying to check is that learners are enrolled and registered on the correct aims as detailed within the framework spec. Trying to match the framework codes recorded on the ILR to the AFO website is an impossible task.
Thanks Martin, they only started the new job yesterday. It’ll be a withdrawal unfortunately but I think the learner loan is a great suggestion, thanks Spats as the learner won’t be disadvantaged 🙂

This is my thought too Steve, however the document is as ambiguous as ever, and open to interpretation…’may’ apply!
hmmm is that not duplication of the same funding? Nice while you could get it then from an employers perspective!
Thank you for your comments everyone, and thanks Martin for clarifyingJuly 16, 2018 at 1:53 pm in reply to: MPL when withdrawing back to start date in a previous academic year #273013
We have Apprenticeships with a start date pf 15/16 and 16/17 for which we have been internally compliance reviewing and feel there is not enough evidence to justify the claim, therefore wanting to take back to start date, but the Directors are concerned about our MLP.July 16, 2018 at 1:07 pm in reply to: MPL when withdrawing back to start date in a previous academic year #273003
Sorry Martin is that Yes it would affect our MLP if they transferred unless there was an intervention from the ESFA then it wouldn’t?
Just want to check I have understood correctly.
Thanks for your help
If my understanding is correct, the ACE was ‘applied’ for 4 months after the learner’s end date as opposed to the certificate being received, therefore it is my understanding that they would not be an achiever as the 3 month audit threshold has not been met.
…spooky, I have just received this so you can all ignore the above question:
“Following the earlier message issued on 28th June, the ESFA can now confirm that the award notification as a result of the Invitation to Tender for education and training services – Adult Education Budget 2017 to 2018, will be made on the 4th August 2017.
Contract awards resulting from the tender exercise will be for a nine-month period running from 1 November 2017 to 31st July 2018.”
There can be a temptation to hold onto all documents for ESF “just in case”, but we have to be mindful that the Data Protection Act is quite clear on what information can and can’t be stored therefore there could be implications for example the retention of documents beyond the agreed destruction date, or the retention of documents that are not relevant to the project, or the use of personal data for purposes other than for what it was collected.
The SFA issued document retention guidance in April 16 (link below)
Electronic storage systems are acceptable (see para 15)
I believe the SFA updated the retention date for 2014 – 2020, and it’s something like 31-12-2030 (but I may have dreamt this so definitely worth checking), which also applies to match funding. It is worth noting Para 7 which states all documents must be retained for 2 years after the Audit Authority has submitted its Annual Control report!
I hope this helps.
Thanks Steve, thought it was just me!
…did anyone find these?
