So if your MIS system has some of them already built in its a bonus however not actually a necessity as these avenues of data validation are sufficient – would you agree?
We pay a fortune for our MI system – do you all think this tool is sufficient? Do you still keep your own learner electronic records?
Yes – I have just discovered this is available – we currently have an MI system we use but we are exploring other options… does this tool have all the data validation built into it? Whats the pro’s and con’s to it?
When I select ‘Download Data’ in View Education Data, the data files available are:
In Year R12
In Year R10
Shouldn’t R14 be in here??
I also have the issue of old records in there that are included in the QAR…January 17, 2020 at 11:44 am in reply to: [CLOSED] Question & Answer session on Qualification Achievement Rates (QAR) 2018 to 2019 with the ESFA #421327
Thank you so much for this, I vaguely remember using this a few years ago…
Yeah I am talking about old FIS also
Yes its annoying, I submitted a ticket to ESFA earlier in the week and their response was to download new FIS! Then I realised no good for 1819 …
All I did was open FIS then Skipped the updates
The reports still worked for me
Then you get an added check when submit via Submit Learner Data. It came up with two additional warnings for me on this page regarding postcode as obviously the FIS update had not worked re postcode
Hope this helps
Thank you! I can’t recall this last year at all, brain dead haha
When I ignore the error in old FIS when I get to the main screen there are no options to perform…. tried re-opening a few times and this isn’t working either
What do you mean by ‘old FIS’
Fabulous!! Thanks so much this has really helped
When I first log into DFE sign in I am given the options below. I can’t see ‘Analyse School Performance’ – is this maybe because we are not a school? Is your screen different to mine? We are trying to establish whether we actually have an IDSR?

Thanks so much and thanks for the guidance reference – there is that much it saves time going on here sometimes
Thanks- were you audited by the ESFA by any chance and did they accept this as evidence?
We uploaded as a PDF so they couldn’t see our Track Changes
We emailed it to ‘FES.SAR@ofsted.gov.uk’
Hope this helps
Nothing on The Hub or the SFS yet! Can’t say I am surprised!
So – just to check if I submit the ILR on The Hub by tomorrow I don’t need to do anything else until Friday 19th Oct????
I am also completely confused (16-19 provider only) I have emailed our ESFA contact last night and also the YP ESFA enquiry service – will let you know if I get a response!!!
I am getting this error – I logged a ticket with service desk on Tuesday this week no response yet – any ideas anyone?
We are 16-19 Study Programme, this is our first submission of 17/18, do you know what the implications of this will be?
Thanks so much!
We are just looking at our exemptions and checking we are covered re the guidance.
What evidence do you keep re exemptions and did the EFA accept these?
Upon reading the guidance, we feel that all exemptions need an SEN/EHCP, with an in depth assessment to accompany this…
Thanks in anticipation
This doesn’t sound right – can I ask how this was communicated and was it only to yourselves?
Because when we calculate our overall success rate we use the no of learners in total / the no of achievers of the qual. Would we not include this learner in the calculation?August 30, 2017 at 1:32 pm in reply to: Study Programme Continuing Learner vs Success Rate #192924
