Our payment was just for R02 only, with no payment for R13.
Thanks Steve. We have a ‘return to learning’ form which is a one page document signed by both parties to agree the revised programme, which sits alongside evidence of their restart date.
Thanks Steve. Do you need to get a new apprenticeship agreement signed when they restart to reflect the new planned end date?
Is that right Steve? I didn’t think they could restart onto a programme that had been closed to new starts? Although I am struggling to find reference to this in the funding rules. I can only see reference to where they intend to return to the same programme.April 7, 2020 at 12:22 pm in reply to: IMPORTANT: Further Guidance on Breaks In Learning 7 April #438166
Thanks for this Steve. I’ve been looking for guidance for where the apprentice is taking a break from learning due to Covid-19 from a Standard which is closed to new starts. They ordinarily wouldn’t be able to take a BIL and I was hoping the temporary flexibilities would cover this but I can’t see that it does. Have you seen anything that woud cover this?

FIS updates are now on Submit Learner Data, rather than the hub.
Hi Martin, is this the ESFA contract for non levy only?
We’ve had the same for a restart in R03 and have entered the planned OTJ hours for the whole programme- not just from restart to end.
We also haven’t had ours yet. I’ve contacted our Provider Manager who advised that we may receive our invitation around mid Summer term.
You don’t need FIS, just the PDSAT tool. Here’s the link to the ESFA guidance:
An email will be sent through to your listed contact on Bravo and I believe a message will also be posted against the original PQQ 28920.
Thanks Chris – good to know we’re not alone!
We did the same initially until it came to my attention that we needed to set our own individual LARS codes up. The funding is drawn down regardless of what code you use, it is just that it is wrong and I would suspect that you will be pulled up on it at audit time.
If you look on the learning aims section of the Hub, you will find the guidance along with a learning aim request form to be filled in and sent over to the Service Desk.
This is the link to the guidance
That’s a really good point, thank you. We only have to show that we have a contract with the employer, the financial schedules are indeed between us and the employer. Thanks so much for your help.
Yes, I would imagine so. Our Commitment Statements and Apprenticeship Agreements match the ILR. It is just the financial schedule which doesn’t.
Thanks Martin. Do you think the same will apply for levy paying employers?
Thanks so much, that’s fixed it. Really appreciate your help.
It’s 24/09/18, so we are trying to enter 23/09/18 as the employment status date.
Thanks Mark, this is what I thought. The error we are getting (ESMType_11) is only cleared when we put a date in of 31/07/18, but this isn’t right.
Any advice would be appreciated!
I’m trying to find the Learning Aim Reference for the Level 5 Nursing Associate standard, with no success! Could any of you lovely people help at all?
That’s great, thanks Martin.
