We have 1 contract per employer, and then a new commitment statement and payment plan per learner. Should we have a contract per learner??
Thanks in advance!!
Good morning all
Does anyone know if there is a summary of changes to show the differences between the 2 assessment plans?
Would this be the same for apprenticeship learners?
We take a copy to retain for our evidence and give the learner the originals
We sometimes use e-certificates to make additional claims whilst waiting for the originals, but always track this to ensure originals are recieved
Why would the exemption rules be different between apprenticeships and study programmes?
We have a study programme learner who gained a Grade 1 GCSE, and on the initial assessment got pre entry level, yet if the above is corrcet, the learner is expected to achieve a L2 Functional Skill!!
Thank you Martin, when would this revised calculation come into affect? Would you say for any learners who starts from March?
Thank you Martin
And thank you Zaheer, we were aware they were under review but then in Jan the customer service changed but not the team leading so we thought they were staying the same
At least we know now – thanks again both
Do you know where this was publicised as we have not heard anything on this change?
Do they not need to give 3 months notice?
It is my understanding that it is triggered from the age at the start of the programme so they will receive it
We do the number of hours worked per week * 5.6
We have the same thoughts, interested to see if anyone can shed any light on this!
Thank you Martin, we use the GOV.UK template of the apprenticeship agreement to cover this
Did we need this for 2017/18 also?
Thank you Martin, much appreciated
Thank you everyone for your replies
I’m interested in these responses
It would be great if the ESFA could provide templates of what they expect etc!!!!
Is it different depending on the funding model?
If you could advise of the best route for both, that would be great!
We currently end the original programme as a completion code 6. When the return, we create a new episode and flag this as a ‘restart’ and amend the length of stay and %age of funding accordingly
Thanks Gaynor, and to you!
Thank you so much for you valued feedback
I am looking more at going from a framework L2 to a standard L2, I interpreted Gaynor meaning from framework L2 to framework L2
We feel these are substantially different which has been endorsed by our awarding body but of course, I don’t want to jeopardise funds
We have only recently been approached by an employer for this exact scenario
We feel the skills and techniques used in the barbering standard far outweigh those within a Hairdressing framework and would subsequently upskill those wishing to enter barbering
Would just be interested to know if anyone has experience this with the ESFA
Would anyone know if the ESFA would still fund this if they are going from a Hairdressing framework to a Barbering standard?
Has anyone been able to view their QARs on the HUB?

Apologies R012943, I missed your reply
Thank you for coming back to me. Would we request the 10% (£300) from the employer bringing our total funding for that learner to £3300?
Its a Framework, i just want to be sure that we have recorded this right!
Can anyone advise on this?
Thank you Martin
Is anyone able to recommend a prepaid bank card for a 17 year old that doesn’t have a monthly fee and doesn’t require parent or guardian to apply for it?December 13, 2017 at 11:39 am in reply to: HELP – Study programme learner with no bank account #221946
