    Hi Samantha,
This is as I understand it:

    Learner completes all learning activities:
    • Enter the ACTUAL END DATE
    • Completion status 2
    • Outcome 8 (they have amended the validation rules to allow for this)

Result of EPA result known –
 Change Outcome to 1 if learner passes
 Change Outcome to 3 if learner fails
 Achievement date (date EPA taken)

    Payment Triggers
Completion incentive (when an apprentice completes their end point assessment) is paid using information from the following fields
     Completion status (2)
     Outcome (1 or 3)
 Achievement date – used as the trigger

    Hi
Sorry to keep querying the issue of H and S but I was wondering about recording that we have asked the right questions or that we regularly keep an eye out for problems when we visit learners in the workplace.
I have been asked to produce a document to confirm ‘we have carried out sufficient checks to satisfy ourselves that the learner is in a safe environment‘.
I feel this is just more paperwork when we are trying to reduce paper and also the workload for assessors.
Will the ESFA or Ofsted require ‘written evidence‘?
I am leaning toward a verbal question at review when both the Mentor and learner can express concerns on H&S if they have any.

Any ideas would be good but I would like confirmation that ‘written evidence’ is not required.

    Hi
I have these errors too. Has this field for OJT now become a mandatory field??
I didn’t have these errors in P1 and P2 and was under the assumption that OJT entry was optional

So back to the EDRS number!

I am assuming the Digital account has no link to EDRS numbers so what is it actually used for?

I have EDRS numbers against my learners who are with the Council (Large / Levy, For example) but the information I get for the actual EDRS number, when I search on the ESFA System, is not always reflecting that the Employer is Council or that the Employer is actually large!

    Is this normal?

That is gtreat news as it will save quite a bit of work with our council contract.

So which EDRN should I be using as ALL of the different departments including the different schools have different numbers and what is it actually used for??

    THanks Martin.
My dropdown for EEF2 has no mention of a EHC plan!
Do I need to put another code in somewhere to let the ESFA that this Apprentice has one?

Nobody seems to want to give definitive answers on how Learner documents can be retained after completion of their Apprenticeship (or even during) and it seems everyone needs answers.

Our learners have an elecrtonic portfolio of work that is kept for them, this includes the Record of achievement and IV recording.

The big question is the Committment Statement and the Apprenticeship Agreement!
Can signed documents be scanned and retained electronically or do we need to keep a hard copy with ‘wet’ signatures during their programme? On completion I was hoping we could scan in ALL documents and shred all hard copies.

Is there someone out there that can give a definitive answer please.

    Hi
Both myself and the Employer are working very closely on this and I did speak to the AS but they are adament they cannot remove the stopped status.
I also went into depth about the massive problems that this is causing and will cause if I follow their instructions on how to deal with it. They also referred me to ESFA for help with the ILR changes (really)!!!
I cannot just change dates on my ILR when they are perfectly correct and all documentation relates to theses dates.

Where do I go from here?

Please could you explain how we would record the following on our subcontractor declaration:

The value of a hairdressing apprenticeship is £9,000 and the employer agrees to pay the full £9,000. We agree with the employer that a subcontractor will deliver all of the training, and the assessment will be delivered by the lead provider. For the purpose of this example the training and assessment are of equal value, so the provider would pay the subcontractor £4,500 less their fees of say 10%, and the provider would retain £4,500 for the assessment part of the delivery.

Is the value of the subcontract £9,000 or £4,500?

And how do we record this on the ILR so to claim the full £9000 but indicate that the main provider only keeps 50%

Thank you for the responses but we cant understand why some of these learners are on the report – they are 16-18 / Small employer / Non-Levy so do not need to contribute and the report shows they should have contributed in certain periods.
One learner has 16.6666 against R02 only
Another has 11.11111 against R02 and R03 only
Another has entries for R10 and R11 for different amounts

    This report is really confusing

    Just a quick query
I have my first Traineeship “finishers” one of which has gone onto an apprenticeship which I have coded and has no errors.

We are still trying to place the remaining 2 learners so can I code their ZPROG as 2 complete and 8 (complete but outcome unknown) until the 6 month cut off when I will have to change them to 3 (no achievement), if we have not progressed them.

The error is FIS error. I have my validation in Maytas set to Warnings!

I have done the ILR tool update and it has entered the actual end date so I am still in the same position

Date applies to should not be after the Learning planned end date of the aim!!

    Hi Chris
My actual end date is after the planned end date which seems to be what is causing the problem

Are your actuals after the planned?

That was my next option, I did wonder if you could input them as achieved if they had no positive progression!

Saying that, if she remains unemployed 6 months after traineeship completion will this mean she will be a non – achiever?

    Hi Martin,

Yes she has been with us for 20 months and has been working and living in England.
She has decided to change jobs to a hair salon in Scotland which is a little annoying as she will be due to complete her apprenticeship in July!!
